The Shropshire County League seems to date right the way back to a

bout 1950. This is when the first records appear for league and cup winners.

Currently the league is split into 2 divisions; Premier Division and Division 1. The league currently has a membership of 28 clubs, all with the ambition to reach the West Midlands Regional Leagues and progress their clubs up the football ladder.

Last year's winners of the County League, Hanwood United, successfully applied for promotion to West Midlands Regional League Division 2 and many teams will be letting out a huge sigh of relief after Hanwood dominated the County League recently, winning 3 out of the last 4 Premier Division titles.
